a favorite son signs with broncos!

from examiner.com....

The last Gamecock from the 2009 drafted has inked a deal with the Denver Broncos. Kenny McKinley, a steal in the 5th round, left Carolina ranked third all time in receptions in the entire SEC. Kmac will now begin his pro career with a rebuilding but pass happy Denver team that already features two standout receivers in Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal. McKinley seems likely to play the slot, a position I think he should be able to win by the end of the year. Some Denver fans haven't been to high on McKinley, criticizing his size. Receivers have gotten bigger lately, but keep in mind that guys like Marvin Harrison have done pretty well in the NFL playing at Kenny's exact size of 6 foot, 175 pounds.
Kenny is a smart and committed ballplayer who will give everything he has to his team and can develop into a leader in the locker room. I really like Kenny in the NFL and I don't see any reason why he shouldn't contribute to a team and have a long career. I'm not just saying that as a homer either- I'm not big on several of the other Gamecocks who were drafted this year. So, good luck Kenny, we'll be pulling for you.

thanks for tuning in, turning up, and zoning out.
